Creative market read

Four of the five Godspeed statics carry a customer's words. No two share a grid.

A creative read of the ads on the Godspeed page, the five other brands in the category, and the customer words already published. Four angles, four built concepts, and the order we would test them in before Black Friday.

Read 23 September from the Ads Library, all countries on the Godspeed page and the United States for the other brands.

01 · What is running

Four builds, one grid short.

  • One card, one phone frame, two screenshots. No two share a grid.
  • Two carry a five-star mark. Neither is a recorded rating: no platform, no count, no source.
  • One says “SWIPE TO SEE SOME OF OUR FAVORITE REVIEWS” on a single image.
  • On another, the biggest quote is the co-founder's, above the customer's.

One caption, two arguments.

  • One caption body runs under all five, the ketone-dose line that carries 13 of the 22 groups. Four of the pictures argue a person.
  • Repointing those captions at their own pictures takes an afternoon.

Holding the caption still while the picture changes is a reasonable way to test, and from outside we cannot tell which this is.

02 · What the other brands do

Five other brands, read by the picture.

LMNT, Ketone-IQ, Kenetik, Tecton and Liquid I.V.

Most of LMNT's and Ketone-IQ's groups run through Meta's rotation, 49 of 55 and 45 of 51, so nothing below is a share of what a brand runs. It is what we could read.

LMNT6 of the 20 groups we could read

One buyer per ad: their sentence in type, their name, five stars, the packs behind. Six went live off one grid on 14 and 16 September with only the customer swapped.

LMNT: A buyer's sentence as the headline.
LMNTA buyer's sentence as the headline.

LMNT: Same grid again. Swap the name.
LMNTSame grid again. Swap the name.
Ketone-IQ2 review cards, delivering 55 and 58 days

The same device, built rough: a real post, screenshotted. Read as a rival, not a model, since Godspeed's own ads argue against Ketone-IQ by name.

Ketone-IQ: A customer's race-day post, used whole.
Ketone-IQA customer's race-day post, used whole.
Kenetik1 line, 10 groups, six launch waves

A named MD and PhD holds the can on a printed paper, and a footnote narrows the brand's own claim. The reader gets a limit before a promise.

Kenetik: The claim made by somebody who does not sell it.
KenetikThe claim made by somebody who does not sell it.
Kenetik: The same doctor, the same grid, a second argument.
KenetikThe same doctor, the same grid, a second argument.

What held across them

Four things more than one brand does.

Running tells you an ad survived, not that it won. LMNT's six cards are nine days old, so their breadth proves intent and nothing more.

01

The named buyer, the stars, the pack.

For Godspeed

The better sentence is already here and the grid is not. Robin answers taste and jitters in one line; LMNT's six are about convenience and recovery.

What we saw

LMNT: six at once off one template, launched 14 and 16 September. Ketone-IQ: two, delivering 55 and 58 days. Kenetik none in the 30 we could read, Tecton none in 10, so it is a habit of the leaders, not a category law.

LMNT: One buyer, one objection.

02

Two rivals have been buying the afternoon for weeks.

For Godspeed

The afternoon is already here, late. “minus the 2pm wall” closes paragraph four of seven, on three of the 22 running today; 4 of the 17 videos say the workday out loud, 2 of them naming a time, and the clock hour lands at second 10 inside a list. Two rivals have paid to keep this occasion alive for 40 and 77 days. The headline is the part still open.

What we saw

Kenetik: 10 groups open the caption with “Three o'clock and the doc you opened at noon is still blank.”, 8 July to 20 August, delivering 34 to 77 days; 19 more bury the 3 PM wall mid-caption. Ketone-IQ has run an hour on the image for 40 days. Of the hour ads we could open, 5 pictures and 3 preview frames, none makes the hour the first thing read.

Ketone-IQ: An hour on the canvas, 40 days live.
Ketone-IQAn hour on the canvas, 40 days live.
Ketone-IQ: The workday on the image. The offer block is theirs.
Ketone-IQThe workday on the image. The offer block is theirs.
03

The claim made by someone who does not sell it.

For Godspeed

This formula cannot be tasted, felt on contact or checked, so the speaker carries it. Two videos already stage it as a podcast conversation, and the same person carries 5 of the 22 ads we read. Nothing in the frames we sampled names him: no title, no name card, no lower third.

What we saw

A credentialed outsider carries the argument in 4 of the 5 brands we read, across the 109 ads we could read of 152 tagged: LMNT 4, Tecton 3, Ketone-IQ 2, Kenetik 1, Liquid I.V. 0. Kenetik then narrows its own claim in a footnote, which is the part doing the persuading.

Kenetik: Credential, product, paper, footnote.
KenetikCredential, product, paper, footnote.
04

One idea, rebuilt for weeks.

For Godspeed

The choice is which single idea is worth six builds, rather than six ideas worth one each.

What we saw

34 of Kenetik's 54 groups and 23 of Ketone-IQ's 51 read 30 days or more. Kenetik held one sentence and rebuilt it as static, then video, then a talking head. The sample leans to their longest runners by design.

Kenetik: The same doctor, a second build.

03 · The opening, and the angles

The felt state rarely reaches the hook.

1 of 14

spoken hooks promises a felt state in the first three seconds. Roughly half of the videos argue one somewhere, in the words the buyers use: no crash, no jitters, steady focus. It arrives late, and none of the five statics leads with it.

  • 13 customer sentences can be sourced and pointed at, 12 of them with a name. 6 say clean energy, no crash, no jitters; 2 name the product they quit.
  • 5 of those 13 sit in a hand-coded carousel on the product page, and not one of those five names appears in a live ad.
  • Across the five brands, the argument is what is in the sachet and the proof is a named buyer or somebody credentialed.

Two readings of the same transcripts put the felt state at 7 to 9 of the 17 videos; the transcripts resolve in three to five second blocks, so the opening boundary is a best read, not a stopwatch. The site has no review platform and the theme’s own “Read All Reviews” button is commented out, so a new review has nowhere to land.

“Hard to believe that there are ketones because you can't taste them at all!”

Robin S., on the card you are already running

“This is the first thing I've used where I actually understood what they meant.”

K.C. W., in a review you published

“I switched from Ketone IQ, which was good to Godspeed.”

Lon Enos, in a comment you screenshotted

“I can't do caffeine so this is great for me.”

Robin S., in the same review

Four angles

Four angles to test.

Each adds to what is already running. Every one ships as a static first. Open a card for the build and the signal.

A1

Nobody gagged

The objection is the taste, so the ad is the moment nobody reacts.

The build, and the signal

What the creative shows

One buyer's sentence about taste as the whole canvas: name, sachets in frame, a rating mark only where a source records one, the same grid every time. The video version is the taste test where the face never changes.

How we would know

At 14 days, is a built card still delivering next to the ketone-dose static, or does that static carry the lane on its own.

A2

The people coffee left behind

The buyers who cannot do caffeine are a waiting market, not a smaller one.

The build, and the signal

What the creative shows

The buyers who named what they quit, in their own words, one card each, with the product they left named by them and never by you. Then the person who cannot take caffeine at all.

How we would know

Cost per purchase against the ketone-dose static at the same budget over 14 days, and whether the switch card survives into the next batch.

A3

The 2pm version of me

An hour, not an ingredient, as the subject of the ad.

The build, and the signal

What the creative shows

An ad whose subject is an hour rather than an ingredient. Your own words move from the close of paragraph four to the headline, and the line your creators already say at second 10 moves to second 1. Two rivals have been paying for this occasion for 40 and 77 days, so the job is out-executing an occupied lane rather than claiming an empty one. This is the one we can build from what is already public, while the four testimonial cards wait on your folder.

How we would know

Does the hour card earn a cheaper click than the ketone-dose static over 14 days.

A4

Your liver is slow

The same explanation, this time with a name on the frame.

The build, and the signal

What the creative shows

The podcast segment you already run, rebuilt as a static and given a name on the frame. The same person carries 5 of the 22 ads we read, both studio pieces among them, and nothing we sampled tells a viewer why to believe him: no title, no name card, no lower third. The goBHB and paraxanthine argument is already being made. What this adds is the credential in frame, a line that narrows what the product is responsible for, and a build that holds as a picture.

How we would know

Who he is, and whether he carries a credential we can put on screen. That is a question for the call, not homework. Then: does the credentialed card outlive the ingredient static at 21 days.

04 · Made for Godspeed

Four concepts we made for you.

Built on the pack you already shoot. Two of them come in two backgrounds off one layout, which is the argument: one idea, swapped.

A buyer who expected the promise to be marketing talk, and said so before he changed his mind. The quote and the layout hold still; only the background moves.

02

The early morning, and what it replaces

The card that argues against coffee, not against a rival.

The switch made at an hour nobody markets to. Shown as a sample: this one's words are not from your review pile and would need sourcing before it runs.

04

A3 built. The afternoon as the whole subject of the ad, which is the one square nothing we opened has taken.

05 · The road to Black Friday

What we would put live, in what order.

Now, to early October

Put the unit in the batch

The four cards audition against the ketone-dose static on the same grid. The caption swap rides along at no cost: same picture, one variable changed.

Signal: at 14 days, is a built card still delivering next to that static.

A1A2

From mid October

Rebuild whatever held

One idea, several shapes, the way Kenetik kept one sentence for six waves. The hour gets its own ad.

Signal: a cheaper click at the same budget, and survival into the next batch.

A3A2

From 1 November

Black Friday runs on what survived

Not the month for a new argument. Run what held, in more shapes, with the credentialed build in reserve.

Signal: does the credentialed card outlive the ingredient static at 21 days.

A4

Every one of the 22 groups was inside its first fortnight when we read it and nothing is past 90 days, so this is an opening stretch and not a track record. What came before it is not visible from outside, and nothing here assumes it.

That is the read

Send us the testimonies, and we will tell you what they can carry.

Twelve named quotes is all we could find from the outside. Send us the rest, a link, a folder, screenshots, whatever form they are in, and we will tell you what they can carry. If it is easier to talk it through, book a time here.
